This journey began when I agreed to help out a friend with the website for his band. His band, Ten Cent Biscuit, is an up and coming country blues band that performs in the Southeastern corner of Minnesota and in Northern Iowa. Their site basically did what is was supposed to, but just didn't have the professional feel and features they were looking for. After a couple of weeks of design, the new site went live and I figured I was pretty much done. But, as I found out, that was only the beginning. Besides the continual changing of their performance calendar, they kept requesting new and exciting features that they wanted included on the site. Shortly after the site went live, I started to recieve requests form other bands, Wedding DJ's, etc. to design or redesign their websites, and with that, The Web Geeks journey began...
So, what can I do for you? First off, this is not my prime source of income. I am not doing this to become rich or feed my family. I am doing this to provide service to struggling, up and coming local entertainers to assist them in creating a website to help promote their talents, and if I can make a little beer money by doing so, then great. In other words, I'm going to be able to design a great website for you at a cost that will be much less than many of those big design companies. Also, I love music and have always wanted to be in the music business. With having no musical talent whatsoever, I have never really persued this interest ... until now. This is my way of being in the music business.
I've learned so much about the local music industry while working with Ten Cent Biscuit on their redesign. I would like to use that new found knowledge to help you create a new and distinct website that will promote your talents properly.
